Michelle is the CTO at AI Squared, responsible for all technology (software engineering, data science, AI Research), IT, and Product Management. Most recently a CTO and AI executive at JPMorgan Chase – the world’s largest bank – Michelle led AI Innovation for Chase Bank Digital across 90 products for 60 million active users, as well as scaling data and AI solutions, and authoring numerous patents in NLP, GraphML, and Neural Networks.
Prior to that, she spent 20 years in leadership roles across engineering, product and data science. This included founding her own Fintech as Chief Data Scientist, and led product roles for three companies that were acquired (led product for Ariba’s flagship Enterprise Procurement and Supplier Network, on route to being acquired by SAP). Michelle also headed engineering and product for financial web applications globally at Oracle – deployed in 25 languages and 30 countries – where she established a mature engineering organization geared for rapid scaling with quality and customer focus.
Michelle contributes as an industry thought leader, speaker and volunteer, including Code for Good and serves on the Advisory Board for Northwestern University’s Kellogg/McCormick School of Engineering MBAi program. She received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.
A bi-coastal resident, Michelle enjoys east coast snowstorms, Silicon Valley redwood hikes, and digging into the latest data science techniques on airplanes in between.
